Snowflake has released a new version of the SnowPro Core exam (COF-C03), and for a limited time, both the old and new exams are available. This has left many Snowflake engineers unsure which exam to prepare for and what actually needs to change in their study approach.
This guide explains the key differences between COF-C02 and COF-C03, outlines the restructured exam domains, and clarifies what the newly added topics — including Notebooks, Apache Iceberg, and Snowflake Cortex — mean from an exam perspective.
Be careful: Several SnowPro Core training courses cover the old exam. Rely upon these to pass the new exam, and you’re setting yourself up for failure.
Read this before committing time to studying the wrong material.
